Terrorist attack on Ziarat checkpost: 15 terroists killed, 9 cops martyred
Ziarat SP says attackers took five cops with them after storming police post in Mangi area
ZIARAT
Nine police personnel are reported to have been martyred in terrorists attack on police check post in Ziarat district, Balochistan.
15 terrorists have been killed during the retaliatory firing and the subsequent clearance operation conducted by police and security forces, 15 terrorists were killed
SP Ziarat said terrorists attacked police check post in the Kach Mangi Phase III area. 9 police personnel including 2 SHOs were martyred in the attack.
He further said the martyred included , Muhammad Hussain, SHO Mangi, and Sohbat Khan, SHO Kowas. Intense exchange of gunfire between terrorists and police continued the whole night long .
SP Ziarat said the bodies of martyred police personnel were shifted to DHQ hospital Ziarat. Additional contingents of police and security forces have been deployed in the area following this incident.
According to police search operation is underway for tracing the assailants and clearance of the area. The sacrifices of martyred police personnel will not go waste.
Assistant to Chief Minister Balochistan for information Shahid Rind said the joint clearance operation of security forces has been completed successfully against terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij. 15 terrorists have been sent to hell. FC , Balochistan police, CTD, SOW and ATF jointly participated in operation. He said 9 officers and police men of Balochistan police were martyred in terrorists attack.
Those who were martyred include SHO police station Mangi, and Kowas, ATF incharge head constable Saifullah and others.
He further said that 8 police personnel including DSP Ghulam Sarwar have reached safely police station Kach through impassable hilly areas. Constable Rizwan has been got recovered safely.
