Police don’t present witnesses in six years then it is said judiciary is bad: CJ LHC

Chief Justice (CJ) Lahore High Court (LHC) Aaliya Neelum has expressed displeasure over poor performance of the police for not arresting the accused since five years in cheque dishonor case.
CJ LHC Alia Neelum said police don’t present the witnesses in six years then it is said the judiciary is bad . Police don’t improve despite fines . What we should do. Judiciary is bad which can not speak.
We stop the salary of police officers but stopping the salary which is small makes no difference to them.
The CJ LHC said now police will bring the plaintiff tomorrow through pressure and withdraw the case. Police pressurize the plaintiff but judiciary is called bad.
The C J IHC remarked the matters are getting worse due to registration of FIR by police on computer. Police puts things of its own choice in FIR at computer.
Such case in which the plaintiff withdraws the application looks good to police. Harassment of the plaintiff starts after coming out of the court.
The case of Rs 20 lac dishonor cheque was registered against the accused Shahbaz. The police filed the challan in 2021 but it did not arrest the accused.
Assistant Advocate General Punjab Umar Waqas and Deputy Attorney general Rafaqt Dogar appeared in the court.
