Nigar reviews KP health foundation performance

Member Advisory Council for Health Lt Gen (retd) Nigar Johar was given a detailed briefing on the performance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Foundation on Monday.
According to a statement, officials of the KP Health Foundation briefed the member advisory council about its performance, ongoing projects and future strategy.
During the briefing, the officials informed her about provision of health facilities in the province, initiatives being carried out in collaboration with public and private sectors, and efforts being made to provide quality medical services to the public.
The statement said the participants were also briefed about administrative structure, financial management and transparency measures of the foundation.
The member advisory council listened to the briefing carefully and appreciated the efforts of the foundation, saying effective planning, proper utilisation of resources and prioritising public service were indispensable for improvement in health sector.
She expressed the resolve that the advisory council would continue to play its full role for strengthening the health system in the province.
On the occasion, the foundation officials thanked the health department for its guidance and cooperation and assured that all available resources would be utilised to provide better medical facilities to the people of the province.
