Maroof Hospital holds breast cancer awareness seminar

Maroof International Hospital (MIH), in collaboration with Jubilee Insurance, organized a breast cancer awareness seminar for employees of Pak Gulf Construction to promote early detection, breast health awareness and timely medical consultation.
The session was held as part of the hospital’s three-month Breast Cancer and Mental Health Awareness Campaign, running from October 1 to December 31, 2026.
Participants were briefed on the importance of breast health awareness, recognizing early warning signs and seeking medical advice without delay.
The session also encouraged individuals to make informed healthcare decisions and prioritize preventive care.
According to the organizers, the ongoing campaign aims to extend health education beyond hospital settings by engaging workplaces, educational institutions and underserved communities.
They said health awareness initiatives play an important role in addressing the stigma surrounding breast cancer and encouraging women to seek timely medical evaluation.
They added early detection can improve treatment outcomes and increase the chances of successful treatment.
They said through these activities, Maroof International Hospital seeks to strengthen public awareness of breast cancer and mental health while encouraging preventive healthcare practices and timely access to medical services.
The organizers emphasized that breast cancer awareness should continue throughout the year, rather than remain limited to October, and called for sustained efforts to promote early diagnosis and better health outcomes.
