Over 750 laptops distributed at KFUEIT under Prime Minister’s laptop scheme

A laptop distribution ceremony under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme was held at Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT), Rahim Yar Khan, where more than 750 laptops were distributed among deserving students.
The ceremony was graced by Sardar Muhammad Azhar Khan Laghari as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished guests included Sardar Arshad Khan Laghari, Former MNA and Minister of State for Industries and Production; Chaudhry Umar Jaffar, Former Member of Provincial Assembly and Member District Coordination Committee; Chaudhry Mehmood ul Hassan Cheema, Former MPA; Mian Amir Shahbaz, Member District Coordination Committee; Sheikh Amad ud Din, Former President CCI Rahim Yar Khan; Dr. Aamir Mehmood Bukhari, MS Sheikh Zayed Hospital; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Principal Sheikh Zayed College, Rahim Yar Khan; Mr. Shaheer Iqbal, Senior Vice President CCI Rahim Yar Khan; Rao Noman, President District Press Club Rahim Yar Khan; and Qari Mehmood Ahmad Qasmi, representative of MPA Mr. Sardar Abdul Aziz Khan Drishak.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Ir. Dr. Amir Azam Khan warmly welcomed the honorable guests upon their arrival at the university. While addressing the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the vision of the Prime Minister and stated that such initiatives are a clear reflection of the government’s commitment to empowering youth through education and technology.
He added that access to modern digital tools like laptops plays a vital role in enhancing students’ academic performance, research capabilities, and innovation potential.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Sardar Muhammad Azhar Khan Laghari lauded the excellent arrangements made by KFUEIT administration and praised the overall performance of the university.
He appreciated the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme, stating that it is a remarkable step towards bridging the digital divide and enabling talented students to compete at national and international levels.
The ceremony was attended by Registrar Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal, Super Focal Person Dr. Jallat Khan, Dr. Aslam Khan, Dr. Farhan Chughtai, along with directors, heads of departments, faculty members, and a large number of students.
Muhammad Owais, Mr. Zahid, Mr. Bilal, Adnan Noor Shah, Dr. Tariq Shareef, and several others were also present and extended their warm greetings to the guests.
The event concluded on a positive note, with students expressing gratitude for the government initiative and reaffirming their commitment to utilizing the provided laptops for academic excellence and national development.
