DC directs departments to ensure timely implementation of KP govt directives

Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Capt (retd) Sanaullah Khan on Wednesday directed all government departments to ensure the timely implementation of provincial government directives and improve public service delivery across the district. The directives were issued during a meeting attended by administrative officers and representatives of various departments to review progress on the implementation of provincial government instructions and assess the performance of government institutions.
The deputy commissioner said the effective and timely execution of government policies was the responsibility of every department and stressed that improving service delivery to the public remained the administration’s foremost priority.
He warned officials that delays, negligence and irresponsible conduct would not be tolerated and instructed all departments to address shortcomings identified through the District Service Delivery Dashboard.
Mr Khan also emphasised the need for greater coordination among government departments, a stronger reporting mechanism and the timely achievement of targets assigned by the provincial government.
He directed departments to regularly update their performance records to help maintain transparency and improve the overall performance of the district administration.
The deputy commissioner said public service remained the administration’s top priority and called on officials to accelerate efforts to resolve citizens’ problems through more efficient service delivery. He warned that any negligence in this regard would invite strict action.
