PM directs improvement of petroleum supply chain

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said all the concerned departments should remain ready for emergency measures till the improvement in situation.
He directed petroleum minister should become more active for improvement in supply chain of petroleum imports.
He said this while presiding over a review meeting in Islamabad Tuesday regarding implementation of fuel-saving and austerity measures in light of regional situation.
The meeting was informed about the progress on implementation of austerity and fuel-saving measures.
It was told in the briefing the implementation of the directives issued by PM is being ensured. Intelligence Bureau will file monitoring report on implementation of all measures.
There is adequate stock of petroleum products in the country as per its requirements.
It was told in the briefing that all the situation is being monitored. The record of petroleum products is being kept so that any irregularity could be pointed out immediately.
All the ministers have not received salaries voluntarily. Cut in fuel usage in government departments is yielding positive results.
The steps for saving will help provide relief to people in the prevailing situation.
Proper stock of medicines is available in the country to cater to the needs of people.
The arrangements for special connectivity have been made by ministry of information, technology and telecom for providing facility of e-office in connection with work from home.
The meeting was attended by deputy prime minister and foreign minister Ishaq Dar, minister for economic affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Finance minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Petroleum minister Ali Pervaiz Malik , information minister Atta Ullah Tarar, Minister for climate change Musaddaq Malik, Minister for information technology and telecom Shiza Fatima, state minister for finance , railway Bilal Azhar Kiyani, Special assistant Tariq Bajwa, governor state bank Jamil Ahmad and senior officials.
