Akbar visits Olympian Islahuddin Hockey Academy

Fourth Ramadan League Reaches Final Stage; Olympian Anwar Ahmed Khan XI Qualifies for Final

Senior Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Sindh and well-known personality of Gujjar community, Ali Akbar Gujjar, visited the Olympian Islahuddin Hockey Academy during the holy month of Ramadan, where he attended as the chief guest. On this occasion, his brother Ashiq Ali Gujjar was also present with him.Upon arrival at the academy, Olympian Sameer Hussain and Syed Alay Hassan welcomed him and expressed their gratitude for his visit. The academy’s players and organizers also warmly received the distinguished guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Ali Akbar Gujjar paid tribute to the services of Olympian Nishan-e-Imtiaz Islahuddin Siddiqui, stating that Islahuddin Siddiqui is a shining name in Pakistan hockey who not only brought glory to the country through his game but has also dedicated his life to training young players and promoting hockey.
He said that the Olympian Islahuddin Hockey Academy is a practical reflection of Islahuddin Siddiqui’s hard work, vision, and love for hockey, where young players are being provided with excellent facilities and training.
He further added that the dedication and passion with which work is being carried out at the academy is highly commendable, and this institution is playing an important role in promoting Pakistan’s national sport, hockey. He concluded by saying that since Olympian Nishan-e-Imtiaz Islahuddin Siddiqui has become the Chairman of the Management Committee of the Pakistan Hockey Team, hockey is now in safe hands, and it is hoped that with his experience and wisdom he will bring Pakistan hockey back to its former glory.
Later, in the final match before the championship round of the Fourth Ramadan Hockey League, Olympian Anwar Ahmed Khan XI comfortably defeated Olympian Manzoor-uz-Zaman XI by 4–0 to secure a place in the final. In the final, they will face Olympian Abdul Waheed Khan XI.The winning team displayed an outstanding performance against Manzoor-uz-Zaman XI, with goals scored by Yaseen Khan, Usman Khan, Asim Khan, and Wasif Raza.
