Imran Khan’s health a serious concern: CM KP

PESHAWAR
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Khan Afridi has expressed grave concern over Imran Khan’s health, questioning why the former premier was taken to hospital secretly without informing his family or personal physician.
According to a statement issued from CM House Peshawar, Afridi while talking to media outside Adiala Jail, demanded an immediate meeting with Khan’s family and doctors to ascertain his condition.
“This is a case of medical terrorism,” he said, adding that the situation was unacceptable. He criticized the government for not informing Khan’s family or personal doctor, Dr. Asim, about his health.
Afridi warned of a strong reaction if Khan’s family and doctors weren’t allowed to meet him, saying the government would be responsible for any consequences. PTI leaders and parliamentarians are gathering at the jail, with Afridi vowing to stay there until demands are met.
“The priority is Imran Khan’s health,” Afridi said, urging media to raise their voice for him. He questioned the silence over Khan’s serious condition when fake news about his platelet count had sparked outrage earlier.
Afridi announced he would spend the night outside the jail, saying, “We won’t normalize this situation.”
He demanded Khan’s sisters and doctors be allowed to meet him immediately to prevent any untoward situation, warning that obstructing the meeting would have serious repercussions.
“This is about Imran Khan’s life, and we won’t tolerate any negligence,” Afridi said, emphasizing the government was responsible for ensuring Khan’s safety.
