KP budget passed to thwart conspiracies, not to sideline IK

Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Saif, stated that the provincial budget had been conditionally approved and rejected the narrative linking this approval with sidelining Imran Khan. He emphasized that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) remains fully committed to following Imran Khan’s directives, adding that every decision made by Imran Khan is deeply respected by the party leadership.
Dr. Saif further stated that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, acting on the instructions of Imran Khan, has approached the Supreme Court to seek permission for a meeting with the PTI Chairman. He expressed hope that the meeting would take place soon. Following the meeting, any changes in the budget will be made strictly in accordance with Imran Khan’s guidance.
He clarified that the decision to approve the budget was aimed at thwarting the conspiracies of opposition forces, who were seeking to create a constitutional crisis in the province by blocking the budget and pushing for emergency rule. He asserted that had the budget not been passed, the opposition would have succeeded in its objectives.
Dr. Saif reiterated that PTI holds a strong majority in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and can make changes to the budget at any time in line with Imran Khan’s directions. He said that Imran Khan was the soul of PTI and couldnt be excluded from the party under any circumstances.
He also alleged that the Governor House has become the epicenter of political conspiracies, where, under the supervision of Faisal Karim Kundi, frequent meetings are held to undermine the provincial government. He revealed that a similar meeting took place regarding the budget, which necessitated its urgent approval to counter the opposition’s moves.
Dr. Saif concluded by affirming that Imran Khan has been taken into full confidence regarding the budget, and once the Chief Minister’s meeting with him is held, any modifications to the budget will be made in accordance with his instructions. Given PTI’s more-than-two-thirds majority in the provincial assembly, there is no cause for concern.
