Hepatitis screening at NA secretariat continues

Free hepatitis C screening at the National Assembly Secretariat continues for parliamentarians and staff under the Prime Minister’s National Programme for the Elimination of Hepatitis C, as part of efforts to promote early diagnosis and timely treatment.
The District Health Office (DHO) Islamabad is providing the screening facility under the national programme to help identify infections at an early stage and facilitate access to appropriate treatment.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to eliminate hepatitis C by expanding access to screening, diagnosis and treatment services and raising awareness about the importance of early detection.
According to the DHO, free hepatitis C screening, treatment and medicines are also being provided to residents across Islamabad under the programme.
The initiative aims to improve access to healthcare, reduce the burden of hepatitis C and support the national goal of eliminating the disease through timely diagnosis and effective treatment.
