Security Forces kill 8 Indian-sponsored terrorists in Balochistan operations: ISPR

ISLAMABAD
Security forces killed eight terrorists described as Indian-sponsored operatives of Fitna al Hindustan during three intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Quetta, Nushki and Khuzdar districts on October 17, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.
According to the military’s media wing, security forces foiled an attempt by terrorists to establish a roadblock in the Panjpai area of Quetta district to disrupt local traffic. Five terrorists were killed during the operation.
In Nushki district, security forces busted a terrorist hideout during a sanitisation operation following an intense exchange of fire, killing two terrorists. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered.
In another intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar district, security forces engaged a terrorist hideout and killed one terrorist. A large quantity of explosives weighing approximately 490 kilograms was also recovered.
Sanitisation operations are underway to eliminate any other terrorists present in the areas, the ISPR said.
The military said the counterterrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, would continue at full pace to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
