SC approves bail of doctor involved in alleged illegal kidney transplant

ISLAMABAD
Supreme Court (SC) has approved bail plea of Dr Nadir involved in the alleged illegal transplant of the kidneys.
A two members bench of SC presided over by Justice Jamal Mandokhail took up the case for hearing.
Justice Malik Shahzad inquired patient should do what if no donor is available in connection with transplant.
He remarked the patients are dying then they undergo such transplants. Transplant has to be got conducted under compulsion. Relatives are not prepared to donate kidney.
Additional Attorney told the court if the relative does not donate kidney then special permission has to be obtained.
The investigation officer told the court in South Punjab kiln laborers are brought and their kidneys are extracted.
According to investigation officer the forensic of doctor’s mobile revealed he remained involved in 65 transplant cases.
Justice Jamal Mandokhail inquired should doctor check national identity card of the patient before checking him He remarked doctors are very busy.
Additional Attorney said this doctor is engaged in transplant of kidneys.
The investigation officer told the court the prescription written by the doctor has been taken into custody.
In this case the doctor was arrested before conducting transplant.
Justice Malik Shahzad remarked may be transplant would not have been conducted .
Additional attorney requested the court should give directives to decide the case early.
Justice Malik Shahzad said there are already too much cases in subordinate courts.
Justice Jamal Mandokhail remarked it means people have trust on courts.
