SBP recognizes Bank of Khyber for financial literacy efforts

PESHAWAR: Bank of Khyber (BoK) has been recognized by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for its outstanding performance under the National Financial Literacy Program (NFLP-II) for FY2025-26 after exceeding its assigned targets by a significant margin. The recognition was conferred during the NFLP-II Annual Target Review Meeting and Certificate Distribution Ceremony held in Lahore on July 27, where the SBP acknowledged banks for their contributions to promoting financial literacy and financial inclusion across the country. According to a statement, Bank of Khyber achieved 150 per cent of its assigned NFLP-II target during FY2025-26, demonstrating its commitment to advancing financial awareness in line with the central bank’s vision. The bank implemented a range of financial literacy initiatives targeting women, youth and persons with disabilities (PWDs), equipping underserved segments of society with the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed financial decisions. It also continued to promote digital financial literacy to help individuals safely access and benefit from digital banking services. The recognition highlights Bank of Khyber’s continued efforts to support national initiatives aimed at expanding financial inclusion and strengthening economic resilience. The bank reaffirmed its commitment to extending the reach of financial education through awareness programmes and community engagement, with the objective of empowering citizens and promoting responsible financial behaviour. BoK said it would continue working closely with the State Bank of Pakistan and other stakeholders to contribute towards building a financially informed, inclusive and economically resilient Pakistan.
