PESHAWAR
Adviser to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Relief, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Samar Haroon Bilour has ordered a comprehensive scrutiny of official vehicles in the Information and Public Relations Department and its subordinate institutions, seeking details of vehicles reported missing, untraceable or unavailable over the past 13 years.
The adviser has directed the department to submit a complete inventory of all government vehicles currently in its use, along with their registration numbers, manufacturers, mod els and the names and designations of the officers to whom they have been assigned.
She has also sought identification of officials responsible for vehicles that went missing or became untraceable during the past 13 years.
Bilour directed the relevant authorities to issue notices to the officials concerned and ensure that the missing vehicles are produced within 72 hours. She warned that failure to comply with the deadline would result in departmental and legal action against those found responsible. The adviser further instructed the Information and Public Relations Department to verify all the required information and submit a comprehensive report to her office within five days.
Emphasising the importance of transparency and accountability, Ms Bilour said the protection of public resources remained among the government’s top priorities.
She said the exercise was aimed at ensuring the proper and efficient utilisation of official assets and identifying any irregularities or negligence in their management.
