Romanian envoy, Punjab governor discuss trade ties

Romanian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Dan Stoenescu met Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations, with a particular focus on expanding cooperation at the provincial level. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on exploring trade opportunities, enhancing economic ties and promoting cultural exchanges between Pakistan and Romania.
They also discussed the potential for closer engagement between local institutions and business communities to encourage cooperation and strengthen people-to-people contacts. The meeting provided an opportunity to explore avenues for building stronger links between the two countries, particularly through local-level initiatives aimed at promoting mutual understanding and friendship.
Ambassador Stoenescu appreciated the meeting and thanked the governor for his invitation to visit Punjab again. He expressed his desire to pursue further opportunities for cooperation and strengthen the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Romania.
