New Generation of AI builders shapes Pakistan’s digital tuture with Google

Lahore: Google, in collaboration with the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication (MoITT), Telenor Pakistan, and Innovista, successfully concluded AI Seekho 2026, one of Pakistan’s largest AI developer initiatives. The program engaged 50,000+ developers, received 17,000+ registrations, and generated 1,500+ AI-powered solutions using Google AI Studio and Google Antigravity. At the national finale, Team Struggler from Karachi won the PKR 1 million grand prize, while Team Nurture and Team Viberonix secured second and third positions, respectively. The competition featured a total prize pool of PKR 2.5 million. The initiative highlighted Pakistan’s growing AI talent, with 40% professional participants and 25% women, demonstrating the country’s expanding and diverse AI ecosystem. To continue promoting AI innovation, Google and its partners will host AI Seekho Builders Days in Islamabad and Karachi on August 8–9, 2026. Staff Reporter
