Gilani hosts luncheon in honor of NYCSBC delegation

Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, hosted a luncheon at the Senate of Pakistan in honor of a high-level trade delegation from the New York Chamber of Small Business Corporation (USA)
.The delegation, led by the Chamber’s Founder President Syed Alamdar Hussain Shah, comprised distinguished business leaders and professionals from the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Pakistan. Among the prominent attendees were Chairman Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Syed Qamar Raza, internationally renowned businesswoman and social leader Chamber of Commerce UK Ambassador President Nina Khan Mashriqi, Chairman IPNC Major General (Retd.) Fida Hussain Malik, Additional Secretary General (IPNC) Hamza Janjua, Chairman New York Chamber of Commerce (UAE) Abdul Rasheed Chughtai, President New York Chamber of Small Business (UAE) Merak Elahi, Director New York Chamber of Small Business (UAE) Abdul Rahim, Sheikh Shakeel, Nisar Ahmad Chaudhry, Dr. Syed Rafi Gilani, Sheikh Tariq Sajjad (Advocate High Court), Sheikh Faisal Ikram, Bishop Abraham Azeem Daniel of Sahiwal, and Safdar Ali, among other distinguished personalities.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani emphasized the vital role of overseas Pakistanis in promoting investment in Pakistan, strengthening economic diplomacy, and enhancing the country’s global image.
He stated that Pakistanis living abroad are not only ambassadors of the nation but also serve as a bridge connecting Pakistan with international markets, innovation, technology, and investment opportunities.
Welcoming the delegation, Chairman Gilani said that the visit reflects a shared commitment to expanding economic cooperation, fostering stronger business partnerships, and creating new avenues for investment between Pakistan and overseas Pakistani entrepreneurs.
Speaking on the occasion, internationally acclaimed businesswoman and social leader Nina Khan Mashriqi described the delegation’s visit as highly significant for strengthening Pakistan–United States trade relations and addressing the concerns of overseas Pakistanis.
She praised the New York Chamber of Small Business Corporation (USA) under the leadership of Founder President Syed Alamdar Hussain Shah for its outstanding efforts in promoting investment and expanding commercial activities.
Ms. Mashriqi also paid tribute to Chairman Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Syed Qamar Raza for his dedicated services to Pakistanis living abroad. She said that his commitment to safeguarding the rights of overseas Pakistanis and strengthening economic cooperation has played a key role in expanding bilateral business ties and reinforcing long-standing relationships between Pakistan and overseas Pakistani entrepreneurs.
She further noted that Pakistan offers immense investment potential due to its young population, rapidly growing digital economy, strategic geographic location, and abundant natural resources. She expressed confidence that enhanced collaboration between overseas Pakistani investors and local institutions would contribute significantly to Pakistan’s sustainable economic growth and prosperity.
