FGEHA holds solidarity walk to mark Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir

The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) organized Solidarity Walks at its Head Office in Sector G-10/4 and the G-13 Site Office to commemorate Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir (Kashmir Exploitation Day). The event was aimed at expressing unwavering solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and highlighting the historical, humanitarian, and international significance of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
The walk was attended by FGEHA officers, officials, employees, and members of the local community. Participants carried the national flags of Pakistan and Kashmir and reaffirmed their support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, as well as for peace, justice, and human dignity.
Addressing the participants, the speakers observed that certain days in the history of nations transcend the boundaries of a calendar date and become an enduring part of their collective memory. They noted that August 5 is one such day, as it not only affected the political and constitutional status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) but also had far-reaching implications for regional politics, diplomacy, and prospects for lasting peace in South Asia.
During the walk, it was highlighted that August 5, 2019 marked a significant turning point in the history of South Asia when the special constitutional status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir was altered. The participants observed that this development once again brought the Jammu and Kashmir dispute into international focus and had a profound impact on the region’s peace, stability, and diplomatic environment.
The participants emphasized that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains one of the most significant unresolved issues in South Asia and that its peaceful and sustainable resolution can only be achieved through the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, international law, justice, and meaningful dialogue. They paid tribute to the resilience, sacrifices, and steadfastness of the Kashmiri people and reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued moral, diplomatic, and political support for their just cause.
The participants further expressed their resolve to promote the values of justice, tolerance, and mutual respect as essential prerequisites for ensuring peace, stability, and prosperity in the region. They also expressed hope that sustained efforts toward the peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute would continue to pave the way for enduring peace and a better future for the people of the region.
