Federal ministers call on president Asif Ali Zardari

LARKANA
Key federal ministers have called on president Asif Ali Zardari at Bhutto House in Naudero.
Law and order in the country, economic situation, energy sector and the impact of petroleum product prices came under discussion in the meeting. .
Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik , chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chief minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Faryal Talpur, and Syed Nasir Shah were present on the occasion.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefed the President on ongoing counter-terrorism operations and the security situation along the borders.
Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions and regional security challenges were also discussed in the meeting. .
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik briefed president on government steps in perspective of economic situation, energy sector economic indicators, and rising petroleum product prices.
President directed to give priority to public relief in economic policies in view of prevailing regional situation.
He stressed the burden of petroleum product prices should be kept as low as possible so that maximum facility could be provided to the common man.
They expressed the resolve that the government will continue coordinated and effective steps for stability of country, security and economic betterment.
