Traffic police distributes helmets among CHIPS Riders

PESHAWAR
Helmets were distributed among CHIPS Riders of the City Traffic Police Peshawar during a ceremony held at the Traffic Headquarters Gulbahar to promote road safety and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
The ceremony was held under the leadership of Chief Traffic Officer Dr. Zahidullah and attended by SP Headquarters Rozia Altaf, DSP Headquarters Zahoor Khan, traffic officers, and a large number of CHIPS Riders.
On the occasion, Chief Traffic Officer Dr. Zahidullah distributed helmets among riders and emphasized that the enforcement of traffic laws is mandatory for traffic officials as well as citizens, adding that no one was exempt from the law. He stressed that traffic personnel must set an example by strictly following traffic rules themselves.
He directed the Riders to ensure the use of helmets at all times and warned that departmental action would be taken against violators.
He further instructed traffic authorities to intensify enforcement against motorcyclists without helmets and said that no leniency should be shown in this regard, as riding without a helmet can lead to fatal head injuries in accidents.
Dr. Zahidullah said that the use of helmets significantly reduces the risk of life-threatening injuries and urged citizens to ensure compliance with traffic rules for safer urban travel.
