Shafi inaugurates modern Shah Jee Terminal in Kohat

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations, Shafi Jan, on Sunday formally inaugurated the newly constructed Shah Jee Terminal in Kohat, describing it as a major step toward improving public transport services and connectivity in the region.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, attended by local elders, transport stakeholders, business representatives and residents, the Minister said the terminal would provide modern and quality travel facilities to the public. He noted that the project reflects the provincial government’s commitment to public welfare and infrastructure development.
Shafi Jan said the new terminal offers improved waiting areas, a more organized transport system and a safer travel environment for passengers. He added that the facility would help ease transportation-related challenges faced by the residents and enhance the overall commuting experience.
The Minister emphasized that modern transport infrastructure not only improves the quality of life for citizens but also supports local trade and economic activity. He reiterated the provincial government’s resolve to expand development initiatives and provide better public services across the province.
According to Shafi Jan, Shah Jee Terminal is expected to strengthen transport links between Kohat and surrounding areas, facilitating smoother movement of people and goods.
Following the ceremony, the Minister toured various sections of the terminal and reviewed operational arrangements. Participants welcomed the project as a positive development for the area and expressed the hope that it would contribute to further improvements in the transportation sector.
