Muqam visits flood affected areas of Bajaur, assures support
Federal minister directs NADRA to establish a second registration center within 48 hours and provide relief to the affectees at their doorsteps

Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam here Tuesday visited the flood affected areas of Bajaur where he assured allout support to the affected population.
The Federal Minister met with the affected people in the relief camps and listened to their problems.
He directed NADRA to establish a second registration center within 48 hours and provide relief to the affectees at their doorsteps.
Instructions were given to NADRA to set up separate counters for men and women and worked tirelessly to reduce flood victims suffering.
Speaking to flood victims, Engr Amir Muqam said that our government holds in high regard those, who sacrificed and displaced for the sake of the country.
He said fllood victims of Bajaur will not be left alone. Engr Amir Muqam said that he came here on the direction of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to.persoally review rescue and relief operations.
“We will ensure the dignified and prompt return of the affected people to their homes,” he added.
Engineer Amir Muqam who is also President of PMLN KP stated that the displaced individuals are the heroes of the nation and that their hardships must be minimised.
He issued immediate instructions to the administration, NADRA, and other departments for swift action.
Engr Amir Muqam said that all available resources will be utalized for speedy relief and assistance to fllood victims.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Mubarak Zeb Khan, PML-N’s coordinator for the merged districts Zar Khan Safi, and senior officials from relevant departments were also present.
Muqam hands over huge consignment of relief goods for Swat floods’ victims
Federal Minister Engr Amir Muqam here Tuesday handed over huge consignments of relief goods sent by the Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to the relevant authorities for its distribution among flood victims of Swat.
Engr Amir Muqam met with fllood victims and assured allout support and assistance from the Federal Government.
He said that rehabilitation of floods affected population in KP was a big challenge, expressing the hope that federal and provincial governments with the support of the nation will sucessfully handle it quickly.
Engr Amir Muqam said that politics on floods situation should be avoided, and that we irrespective of politcal affiliations needs to work hard to help address suffering of the affectees.
He said that Malankand division was largely affected by the natural calamity.
Engr Amir Muqam lauded the spirit of communities, NGOs and philanthropists for their generosity and assistance in this hour of needs.
He said that flloods have badly damaged agriculture, peach and apple orchards and communication infrastructure in Shangla, Buner, Swat and relief to affected farmers would be provided.
Amir Muqam noted that shopkeepers and traders were also suffered after goods were washed away.
He said Govt’s first priority was rescue of stranded people and shifted the injured to hospitals.
Engr Amir Muqam said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was personally mointoring rescue and relief operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and huge consignments of relief goods were being dispatched to the flood affected areas.
The Federal Minister said that Federal Government will go allout for providing relief and assistance and will continue efforts till rehabilitation of the last victim.
