Ihtesham opens diagnostic facility at Police services hospital

Advisor to the Chief Minister on Health Ihtesham Ali on Thursday inaugurated advanced diagnostic services including CT Scan, Endoscopy, and ETT at the Police Services Hospital in Peshawar.
According to a statement the Health Advisor inaugurated the CT Scan facility in the Radiology Department, the ETT service in the Cardiology Unit, and the Endoscopy service in the Gastroenterology Department.
On this occasion, Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr. Mushtaq Afridi, heads of concerned departments, and other medical staff were also present.
Mr Ihtesham Ali stated that the addition of these services will significantly enhance the hospital’s diagnostic capacity and ensure timely treatment for government employees.
Previously, patients were referred to other hospitals for such tests, but now these essential facilities are available within their own hospital.
He further highlighted that the Police and Services Hospital serves as a vital healthcare institution for thousands of government employees and their families. He commended the MS Dr. Mushtaq Afridi and his team for their efforts in operationalizing these services.
Dr. Mushtaq Afridi, the MS of the hospital, noted that the introduction of these services is expected to triple the hospital’s OPD capacity.
These diagnostic procedures, which were previously referred to external facilities, will now be accessible directly at the hospital, benefiting government employees and their families across the province.
