Governor Kundi praises resilience of industries amid challenges

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday commended the steadfastness of industries in the province for continuing operations despite adverse circumstances.
Speaking at a job fair organized by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and the Industrialists Association KP, he emphasized leveraging the skills of unemployed graduates in partnership with industry to mutual benefit.
During his address, Governor Faisal Kundi highlighted the pervasive influence of Independent Power Producers (IPPs), labeling them as a “mafia” present in every political faction. He stressed the need to prioritize hydropower projects to resolve the electricity crisis in the region, cautioning against short-term fixes that exacerbate losses akin to those caused by IPPs.
Governor Faisal Kundi called for a special package from the President and Prime Minister to support the industrialists.
He said that I will play role as an advocate, urging collaboration with industrialists and traders for scholarships aimed at deserving children of Peshawar.
Over 200 companies participated in the current job fair, underscoring the efforts of NAVTTC and the Industrialists Association KP.
Chairperson NAVTTC, Gulmina Bilal Ahmad Khan, stressed the importance of vocational education in ensuring economic stability, endorsing Governor Kundi’s initiatives.
President of the Industrialists Association KP, Muhammad Ayub, extended a warm welcome to Governor Kundi and discussed ongoing challenges faced by the Peshawar Industrial Estate.
Prominent business figures including Ghazanfar Bilour were also present, engaging in discussions aimed at finding viable solutions.
Governor Kundi’s proactive stance on industrial development and collaboration with educational institutions reflects a concerted effort to strengthen KP’s economy amidst prevailing challenges.
Meanwhile, the Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also visited Saint John Catholic Church and said that interfaith harmony is crucial for the development of the country.
The Governor praised the sacrifices of minority and assured to resolve their problems on priority basis.
