Welfare cheques distributed among Khyber police personnel

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Welfare Fund has distributed cheques worth over Rs1 million among police officers and personnel for medical treatment and other needs.
According to details, the financial assistance was approved for medical treatment, dowry for daughters’ weddings, kidney treatment and transplant, cancer treatment and other essential requirements.
District Police Officer, Khyber, Waqar Ahmad said that the welfare of police officers and personnel and their financial support in difficult times was being given top priority.
“Police personnel face numerous hardships in the line of duty, therefore, practical steps are being taken to resolve their problems and provide them with every possible facility,” he said.
He said police officers and personnel were a valuable asset of the department and the welfare of their families was also the department’s responsibility. Financial assistance was being provided through the welfare fund to deserving personnel for medical treatment, children’s education, daughters’ marriages and other necessary matters, he added.
The DPO said any police official facing issues regarding children’s education, scholarships, medical treatment, daughters’ marriages or any other matter should submit an application without hesitation at the Welfare Desk, Khyber, at his office, where action would be taken on merit to provide all possible assistance.
