Two more matches decided in the KHA Ramadan Hockey Champions Trophy

Two more matches were played in the ongoing Ramadan Champions Trophy Hockey Tournament organized by Karachi Hockey Association at Olympian Hanif Khan and Dr. Junaid Ali Shah Sports Complex Gulshan Iqbal.
In the first match, Hanif Khan Hockey Club defeated JJHC by 3 goals to 1 after a tough competition. SM Aliyan Jafri scored the only goal for JJ Hockey Club, while Fakhir Naseer, Talha Ghauri and Zohaib Khan of the winning team played an important role in their team’s victory by throwing the ball into the net.
The second match played between Al-Sagheer Club and Gulberg HC proved to be one-sided. Al-Sagheer Club easily dismissed the opponent by five goals.
Gulberg Hockey Club remained helpless in front of Al-Sagheer’s defense and could not score any goals.
Ali Gohar scored two goals for the winning team, while Shozeb, Bilawal and Talha scored one goal each.
The special guest of the match, Honorary Hanif Malik of Malik Sports, met the players. On this occasion, he paid tribute to the organizers of the Ramadan Champions Trophy Hockey Tournament, which has been held continuously for thirty years during the holy month of Ramadan, and said that the basis of the success of any tournament is the organizers’ commitment to their game.
The continuous holding of the tournament is due to the love of Olympian Hanif Khan and his family for the national game. And there is evidence of the passion, praying that the future of hockey will be as bright and successful as its past.
