Traffic Police honours officers for outstanding performance

PESHAWAR
Chief Traffic Officer Dr Zahidullah distributed commendation certificates and cash awards among traffic officers and personnel of the City Traffic Police Peshawar in recognition of their improved performance.
Addressing the ceremony, Dr Zahidullah said that traffic officers and personnel were performing duties by following the “first salute, then talk” policy to ensure better public facilitation. He directed the officials to utilise all available resources to ensure strict enforcement of traffic laws across the city.
The CTO stated that the system of reward and punishment would continue, adding that those demonstrating good performance would be encouraged, while disciplinary action would be taken against those found negligent in duty.
Dr Zahidullah further instructed traffic officials to continue operations against vehicles parked in no-parking zones and against encroachments without interruption to maintain smooth traffic flow in the city.
