PPC, HOPE sign MoU for educational relief for journalists’ children

PESHAWAR
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Peshawar Press Club and the HOPE education network to provide educational relief to the children of journalists and promote the positive initiatives of private schools in the province. The ceremony was held at the Peshawar Press Club (PPC).
The event was attended by PPC President M. Riaz, Vice President and Chairman Education Committee Ziaul Haq, General Secretary Alamgir Khan and other members of the cabinet.
Under the MoU, children of Press Club member journalists will receive free admission to all schools and educational institutions registered under HOPE, while at least 50 percent discount will be offered on monthly tuition fees.
The agreement also provides for mutual support: the Press Club will assist HOPE in media coverage of its positive initiatives, while HOPE will have access to halls and facilities at the Press Club for press conferences and seminars without any charges.
President Riaz and GS PPC Alamgir Khan described the MoU as an important step toward the welfare of member journalists. “The welfare of our members remains our top priority.
