Pakistan Cricket Club clinch Zone VI T-20 Cricket Tournament title

The Zone VI T-20 Cricket Tournament organized under the auspices of Zone VI of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi (RCAK), has concluded with Pakistan Cricket Club winning the tournament after an impressive performance. In the final Umair Bin Yousuf played a key role in his team’s victory by scoring a brilliant and aggressive century.
Addressing the players at the prize distribution ceremony, Khalid Nafees Chairman Tournament Committee Regional Cricket Association Karachi, said that if a zone calls itself the opposition and then also makes demands, those demands cannot be fulfilled. He said that the affairs of the institution would be conducted strictly according to rules and regulations.
Khalid Nafees further said that certain individuals were creating an impression that the region was being run by people who had not been elected. He said that in the past, when some individuals were members of different committees and played a role in the selection of Karachi teams, not all members of those committees were elected either.
He said that those who are questioning the status and mandate of others today should also be aware of their own current role and mandate. According to him, those raising objections against others have themselves neither been elected nor are they currently presidents of any voting club. He added, “The era of creating and spreading fabricated stories is over everyone is now aware of the facts.
Khalid Nafees said that a tournament is being organized in one zone in the name of a former president, in which approximately Rs. 12,500 is being collected from each team as a match fee. In contrast, free tournaments are being organized in five zones on the instructions of Nadeem Umar and Ali Hussain.
He said that the fundamental objective of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi is to promote cricket in Karachi, provide maximum opportunities to players, and ensure positive cricket activities at the grounds.
Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Touseef Siddiqui, Joint Secretary, Regional Cricket Association Karachi, who presided over the ceremony, said that the matches of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi Talent Hunt Program Touchme Under-15 Tournament have also officially commenced.
He further said that the objective of the Talent Hunt Program is to provide young cricketers of Karachi with ample opportunities to showcase their talent and abilities. He said that RCA Karachi would continue its activities to encourage young cricketers and prepare them for the future.
On the occasion Azam Khan said that some people tell their followers a new story every day so that they remain unaware of the truth and facts and continue to follow the same narrative. He said that for the promotion of cricket, it is essential to bring facts to light and give priority to cricketing activities on the grounds.
Earlier, in the final played at KCCA Stadium, Pakistan Cricket Club defeated Late Ismail Jaffer Cricket Club by 44 runs to win the final.
Pakistan Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 203 runs for the loss of three wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Umair Bin Yousuf scored a brilliant century, smashing 102 runs with the help of eight fours and six sixes. Huzifa Ehsan also batted brilliantly, scoring 55 runs with four boundaries. The two batsmen added 163 runs for the second wicket.
In reply, Late Ismail Jaffer Cricket Club scored 159 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Muhammad Azan played an aggressive innings of 72 runs, including three fours and seven sixes, while Sajjad Ahmed scored 27 runs. Danish Aziz was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets for 27 runs.
At the conclusion of the match, Chief Guest Khalid Nafees distributed prizes among the players.
The Winner’s Trophy was received by Pakistan Cricket Club captain Rameez Aziz, while the Runner-up Trophy was received by Late Ismail Jaffer Cricket Club captain Saad Sakhawat.
