LHC summons report on kidnapping of minor girls in Punjab

LAHORE
Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned report on kidnapping of minor girls cases in the province from IG Punjab.
The court ordered that report on performance of investigation officers in kidnapping cases be also presented. The court summoned detailed report from IG Punjab.
Chief Justice (CJ) LHC Aalia Neelum heard the petition filed by Salma Bibi.
On the order of the court IG Punjab Rao Abdul Karim Khan presented the report.
IG Punjab told the court the girl was killed in 2022.
The court inquired how it was ascertained that the girl has been murdered.
IG Punjab told the remand of son in law of the owner of the house was taken wherein the girl was serving as maid servant.
It was revealed from CDR the girl was in contact with the accused Mohsin . Accused Mohsin is on our physical remand. He had killed the girl and thrown her body into nullah.
The CJ LHC Aalia Neelum remarked has the body of girl been buried by police station walas as trust.
It was inquired from IG Police how many years were spent to prove this case.
IG Punjab Rao Abdul Karim Khan replied it took four years.
The CJ LHC remarked why you give the cases to such investigation officers who spend several years in the investigation. When the case of kidnapping of girl goes to police station then attitude of your investigation officer is this that girl may have gone herself.
The CJ LHC remarked you need to appoint hardworking investigation officers. Investigation be given after seeing past record of the investigation officers.
