LHC rejects appeal plea of both the convicts against death sentence

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) while announcing reserved judgment in respect of appeal pleas of the culprits in Motorway gang rape case against their sentence has upheld the death sentence awarded to both of the convicts Abid Malhi and Shafqat Bagga. The court has declared death sentence awarded to both of the culprits valid. A two members bench of LHC presided over by Justice Syed Shahbaz Rizvi heard appeal plea filed by the culprits against the death sentence awarded to them in motorway gang rape case. The court reserved the judgment after hearing the case. The judgment was announced on Wednesday. The court dismissed the appeal pleas of both the convicts against their sentence. Upholding the sentence awarded to both of the culprits, the court declared it valid. The two members bench presided over by Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi announced the decision. ONLINE
