KP housing dept holds e-kacheri to address public grievances

PESHAWAR
The Housing Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday held an E-Kacheri session to hear public complaints, suggestions and feedback, with senior officials vowing to expedite the resolution of residential issues faced by government employees.
Secretary Housing Department Mahmood Aslam Wazir said the initiative was part of the provincial government’s directives under the Good Governance Roadmap, said a handout.
“The public is directly benefiting from the execution of E-Kacheris,” he said, adding that the department was taking effective measures to meet its targets while actively working to resolve housing concerns of government employees.
The session was also attended by the Additional Director General of the KP Housing Authority, the Project Director of the Housing Foundation, and other relevant officials.
Citizens from Peshawar, Kohat, Swabi, Risalpur, D.I. Khan, Swat, and Mansehra participated by submitting written messages and making phone calls.
Online responses were provided during the session. Key issues raised included the New Peshawar Valley project, the Jalozai Housing Scheme in Nowshera, matters concerning the Housing Foundation, and the implementation of special quotas for minorities and persons with disabilities.
Wazir directed the concerned officers to address public grievances on an immediate basis, stating that feedback and suggestions would be prioritized and practical steps taken to resolve them.
