Two-day Para Table Tennis Championship concludes successfully

In connection with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the two-day Para Table Tennis Championship 2025 concluded successfully. The competitions were held on December 2 and 3, followed by a colourful closing ceremony where outstanding athletes were awarded prizes.
The event’s Chief Guest was Anjum Anwar, CEO of ARPD, accompanied by Waseem, Director ARPD; Kifayat Ullah (Vice President Finance, Pakistan Table Tennis Federation and Para Representative at the Asian Table Tennis Union); Kashif Farhan, Regional Sports Officer Peshawar; and Mian Absar Ali, ITTF & Para Table Tennis Level-2 Star Qualified Coach.
Athletes demonstrated remarkable performances across multiple categories. According to the results:
Wheelchair Male Category 1st – Mobeen, 2nd – Zakir, 3rd – Shah Muslim
Wheelchair Female Category: 1st – Tajmeena Khan, 2nd – Mawa Gulshad, 3rd – Rubeena
Standing Female Category: 1st – Shamma ,2nd – Nasra, 3rd – Mahnoor
Amateur Male Category: 1st – Ishaq, 2nd – Abdullah, 3rd – Sudais
The championship not only highlighted the exceptional abilities of para-athletes but also provided them with a valuable platform to advance in the field of sports. The event served as a strong symbol of inclusion, empowerment, and encouragement for persons with disabilities.
Peshawar Region U21 Lacrosse Trials Conclude Successfully

The Under-21 Lacrosse Trials, organized by the Peshawar Division, concluded successfully at Hira Public School, Khazana, Peshawar. A large number of young athletes from various districts of the Peshawar Division participated in the trials and showcased impressive skill and talent.
The trials were supervised by Kashif Faran, Regional Sports Officer Peshawar Division, and Engr. Taifoor Zarin, Secretary of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Lacrosse Association. Player selection and technical evaluation were conducted by international lacrosse athletes Ubaid and Awais Yousafzai, who assessed participants based on skill, commitment, performance, and potential.
The shortlisted players will now represent Peshawar Division in the upcoming Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Under-21 Games.
The Pakistan Lacrosse Federation and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Lacrosse Association appreciated the enthusiasm, hard work, and sportsmanship displayed by all participants, stating that the event marks a significant step toward promoting lacrosse among the youth in the province.
