Governor, CM-KP discuss law and order, wheat ban in KP

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Friday discussed the province’s law and order situation, the wheat ban and issues faced by CNG stations during a meeting at the Governor House.
Former federal minister for religious affairs Senator Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, Provincial Minister Adnan Qadri and Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed were also present on the occasion.
According to a statement, the meeting reviewed the overall security situation in the province and exchanged views on matters relating to wheat transportation restrictions and the concerns of CNG station owners.
The governor and chief minister described the wheat ban as a violation of the Constitution and appreciated the unity shown by political parties in raising their voice for the rights of KP. Participants expressed hope that the federal government would honour its commitment to the province regarding the removal of the wheat ban.
The meeting also discussed the role of parliamentary parties and the political leadership in jointly pursuing the province’s case after Eid.
