Educational development always remain commitment of PML-N alongside major infrastructure projects: Tarar

LAHORE
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that educational development has always remained a long-standing commitment of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), alongside major infrastructure projects.
Addressing a political gathering in constituency NA-127 on Sunday, along with former federal minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, Attaullah Tarar lauded the development initiatives carried out in the Walton area under the leadership of Khawaja Saad Rafique, terming them a model of constructive politics and dedicated public service.
Welcoming Khawaja Saad Rafique, the minister recalled that Walton was once considered a neglected ring of the city. He said it was a significant achievement that not only issues related to streets, water supply, sewage and tube wells were resolved, but equal attention was also given to the promotion of education in the area.
Attaullah Tarar said that the establishment of Khawaja Rafiq Shaheed College for boys and Rabia Basri College for girls on Walton Road clearly reflects the Muslim League’s vision and commitment. “When we see educational institutions standing alongside improved roads and infrastructure, it fills us with pride,” he remarked.
He emphasized that construction, development and public welfare have always been the foundation of the PML-N politics, adding that politics should be constructive and focused on serving the people.
The minister stated that the record of public service set by Khawaja Saad Rafique in the area would not only be continued but further expanded.
“Under his leadership, we will strive to make this area one of the exemplary localities of Lahore,” he said, adding that all stakeholders would work together, formulate a comprehensive framework and move towards effective implementation.
Concluding his address, Attaullah Tarar said that courage, vision and sincere thinking are essential for sustainable development, noting that the party has learned these values from Khawaja Saad Rafique’s politics of resilience and faith.
Speaking on the occasion, former federal minister and PML-N senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has announced that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has allocated Rs 50 crore for development projects in the Walton area, with a major focus on education, parks and civic infrastructure.
