Moon of Zilhaj Sighted in Pakistan

The moon of Zilhaj 1447 Hijri was sighted in Pakistan and Eid al-Adha will be celebrated across the country on Wednesday, following an announcement by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Abdul Khabir Azad, made the formal announcement during a press conference in Karachi.
He said testimonies regarding moon sighting were received from different cities across the country, after which the committee confirmed the sighting of the Zilhaj moon.
According to the announcement, the first of Zilhaj will be observed across Pakistan from tomorrow.
Officials stated that weather conditions remained mostly clear in many parts of the country, while some areas experienced cloudy conditions.
Reports of moon sighting were received from Karachi, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and several other cities.
