Abubakar clinches ITF Pakistan Syed Dilawar Abbas Memorial Jr Tennis C’ship title

Pakistan’s Abubakar Talha has clinched the Treet ITF Pakistan Syed Dilawar Abbas Memorial Junior Tennis Championship (J-60, Leg-3) title here at the PTF Tennis Complex.
A total of 24 boys and 20 girls from 16 countries—Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Japan, China, Australia, Russia, Poland, South Korea, Sri Lanka, USA, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Netherlands, and Thailand—are participating in the championship.
The event is organised annually in memory of Late Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas, who served as President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation from 2001 to 2009. The championship is a tribute to his legacy, passion, and love for tennis.

In the Boys’ Singles Final, Pakistan’s Abubakar Talha delivered an outstanding performance, defeating Luke Jie Xi Ho of Singapore in a thrilling contest with a score of 7-6(3), 7-6(7) to clinch the ITF J-60 title.
In the Girls’ Singles Final, Zhiyu Zhou of China dominated the match, defeating Yerin Lim of Korea in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 to win the ITF J-60 title. Girls and boys doubles final will be played on Saturday.
