CM Maryam Nawaz Declares 2026 as “Year of Youth”

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has declared 2026 as the “Year of Youth”, reaffirming her government’s commitment to public welfare, prosperity, and accelerated development across the province.
In her New Year message, the chief minister extended greetings to the nation and prayed for peace, security, and prosperity not only in Pakistan but across the world. She urged that the youth of Pakistan continue on the path of progress and success, expressing optimism that 2026 would bring joy, hope, and greater achievements.
Highlighting her government’s performance in 2025, Maryam Nawaz Sharif noted that over 120,000 houses were constructed, and more than 20 million patients received treatment through field hospitals and clinic-on-wheels services. She also mentioned successful financial assistance for flood affectees, distribution of laptops, award of Honahar Scholarships, and ongoing delivery of 30,000 tractors to farmers.
Looking ahead, the chief minister announced major public welfare projects for 2026, including the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital, Sargodha Cardiology Institute, and Jinnah Cardiology Centre, alongside other development initiatives. She expressed confidence that Punjab’s journey of development, which began in 2024, would gain even greater momentum in 2026.
