IGP Rizvi meets traders’ delegation led by Ajmal Khan to review market security, traffic issues

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi met a traders’ delegation led by Ajmal Khan at the Central Police Office to discuss market security, traffic management and other civic concerns.

An official told APP Sunday that during the meeting, several matters came under discussion, including security arrangements at commercial centers, traffic flow issues, encroachments, illegal stalls, and measures to strengthen cooperation between police and the business community.

The IGP assured the delegation that Islamabad Police would take effective, coordinated steps to improve security at marketplaces, ensure smooth traffic management and address illegal parking and encroachment concerns. He also assigned a special task to SP Dolphin Khalid Mehmood to enhance on-ground monitoring of market security.
IGP Rizvi reiterated that maintaining peace in the federal capital and ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property remain top priorities for the Islamabad Police. “No one will be allowed to disturb the peace of the city,” he said.
Members of the traders’ delegation appreciated the continuous efforts of Islamabad Police for maintaining law and order and assured full cooperation on all important matters, including security and traffic management.
