Director General ANF addresses anti-drug awareness session at NUST University

Director General Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), Major General Abdul Moeed, HI(M), visited the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) Islamabad and addressed an anti-drug awareness session organized for students and faculty members.
In his address, the DG ANF explained how drugs are increasingly targeting youth and students, harming their health, negatively affecting their behavior, and distancing them from education, personal and collective development, and future goals.
He urged students to completely refrain from any drug-related activity and emphasized the importance of safeguarding their lives, careers, and families from the destructive effects of drugs.
The DG ANF informed the students that ANF Pakistan is the force that is playing a frontline role in combating drug use and trafficking. ANF remains actively engaged through continuous operations across various land, air, and sea routes of the country to prevent the spread of drugs and curb international smuggling.
DG ANF Major General Abdul Moeed HI(M) emphasized that combating the threat of drugs is a national responsibility, and that youth, educational institutions, families, and different organizations must join hands with ANF in this important national campaign.
The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, where students enthusiastically asked questions, appreciated ANF’s efforts, and expressed their commitment to contributing towards a drug-free Pakistan.
At the end of the session, Principal NUST Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (NIPCONS), Major General (R) Zahid Mahmood, extended gratitude for conducting the awareness session for students of university and reaffirmed the full support of NUST’s students and faculty in national fight against drugs.
