ISLAMABAD
Islamabad High Court (IHC) during the hearing of petition against working of private people (Munshis) in Islamabad Patwar circle has directed Deputy Commissioner (DC) to fill the vacant posts therein within 7 days.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani has remarked one year has passed and these stories are being told. Executive has abandoned doing work. You have decided not to implement court decision. Illegal work is being done through munshis in patwarkhanas. It is essential work be got done by issuing contempt of court notice to every officer.
Petition against working of private people in patwar circles came up for hearing before Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of IHC Thursday.
DC Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon appeared in the court.
The court directed the DC to fill the vacancies within seven days.
The court remarked if the posts are not filled then secretary establishment will have to be summoned.
The court expressed annoyance with Additional Attorney General and DC for not implementing court’s orders.
The court remarked the city spans 32 kilometers and the situation is this court’s order is not complied with.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani remarked he is CSP officer and one thing is beyond his comprehension.
The court remarked no one among attorney general office, advocate general office and state counsel gives correct reply.
The court remarked DC should meet secretary establishment in person and take steps for making appointments.
