KP has enormous potential to improve the country’s exports, says Moqeem Khan

SCCI, TDAP set up a Business Facilitation Desk to enhance export from KP, Collaborative efforts stressed to remove obstacles in the way of export and mutual trade
PESHAWAR
Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has established a Business Facilitation Desk at the chamber.
The initiative aimed to facilitate the business community, especially exporters, to boost the country’s exports through the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region.
The desk was inaugurated by the SCCI president Fazal Moqeem Khan along with Director TDAP Nauman Bashir during a ceremony here on Saturday.
Officials from TDAP posted permanently at the Business Facilitation Desk for guidance of traders and exporters.
On the occasion, the SCCI senior vice president Abdul Jalil Jan, vice president Shehryar Khan, officials of TDAP, Secretary General SCCI Muqtasid Ahsan and officers were present.
Speaking on the occasion, SCCI president Fazal Moqeem said the initiative would play a pivotal role in provision of a better facility to the business community, particularly exporters but it would also assist in enhancing the country’s exports with neighbouring and Central Asian Republic.
Mooqem urged traders and exporters to take full advantage of this initiative and play their role in enhancing the country’s exports.
The chamber president emphasized it is highly crucial to improve the country’s exports to revive and strengthen the national economy.
Moqeem Khan said Pakistan’s exports showed tremendous improvement owing to strategic planning and prudent policies of the incumbent government.
He, however, said the current export figure of Pakistani manufacturing products throughout the world doesn’t reflect appropriately the true potentials that existed in the country.
In that case, he particularly mentioned that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has enormous potential to further strengthen the country’s export and bilateral trade with neighbouring and central Asian republics.
SCCI is fully committed to selflessly serve and facilitate the business community, besides to support the government’s initiatives toward enhancing the country’s export and mutual trade, and today’s initiative is testimony of this commitment, says Moqeem.
The chamber president lauded TDAP for setting up a special desk for facilitation of the business community.
Earlier, the TDAP senior official shed light on the trade body’s commitment toward improving Pakistani products export, essentially upcoming events, trade exhibitions and others.
Director Nauman Bashir stressed the coordinated and collaborative efforts to improve the country’s export.
The senior official assured that TDAP would provide every assistance and facilitation services to the business community, especially exporters and remove all forms of irritants and obstacles in the way of export to neighbouring countries as well as the rest of the world.
