The Global Shapers Peshawar Hub won Innovation Prize at WEF

Peshawar
The Global Shapers Peshawar Hub has made history by winning the Global Shapers Innovation Prize 2025 at the World Economic Forum in Geneva, Switzerland, for their pioneering climate-tech project ClimaSynth, the first initiative of its kind in Pakistan.
ClimaSynth, an AI-powered platform developed by the Peshawar Hub team, simplifies climate data and delivers it through a local-language chatbot, a carbon calculator, and educational tools helping vulnerable communities adapt to the realities of climate change.
Shahab Ud Din, Curator of the Peshawar Hub representing Peshawar, Pakistan at Global Shapers Annual Summit at World Economic Forum Headquarters, presented the project and briefed hundreds of shapers from around the world as well as the Forum’s Impact Team in Geneva, stating, We are not just addressing the issue of climate change. We are aiming to save lives that are already under threat because of it.
The project is led by Aizaz Ahmad and powered by a dedicated team including Rizwan, Adnan, Ubaid, Rohail, and Urfa, under the curatorship of Shahab Ud Din.
Their work reflects the potential of youth-led, tech-driven innovation to tackle one of Pakistan’s most urgent challenges.
The award brings global recognition to local efforts and opens the door for scaling ClimaSynth across other climate-vulnerable communities in the country.
