Riphah International University, committed to promoting innovation, research, and entrepreneurship in Pakistan, proudly hosted the Islamabad Regional Round of the World Startup Championship 2025 at its I-14 Campus. Organized in collaboration with See Pakistan, a nationwide platform dedicated to identifying, mentoring, and promoting student-led startups, the event brought together young entrepreneurs, startup mentors, industry experts, and investors from across the region.
The day commenced with a vibrant Opening Ceremony, where Dr. Muhammad Zubair, Director of Riphah I-14 Campus, welcomed participants and emphasized Riphah’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
Mr. Ammar Jaffri, Ex-Director FIA, inspired participants to embrace technology and entrepreneurial thinking. Amir Anzur, Chief Marketing Officer at Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), motivated the youth to “take the path with the most and best learning”, He also commended the Riphah organizing team for delivering a lively, smooth, and professionally executed event, fostering a vibrant atmosphere for innovation.
Honorable Guest Mr. Saleem Raja also shared valuable insights on self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
Following the Ceremony, all participating teams proceeded to their designated session rooms for the Pitch Presentation Rounds. The competition featured five parallel pitch sessions, where a total of 20 highly experienced judges — comprising industry experts, mentors, and investors — evaluated the startup ideas.
The event concluded with a souvenir distribution, honoring judges and guests. Mr. Fakhar Abbas, from See Pakistan, thanked Riphah International University for its outstanding support and collaboration. With a strong turnout of participants and high-caliber startup ideas, the regional round reaffirmed Riphah’s role as a catalyst for innovation and enterprise in Pakistan.
