Political stability impossible without Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi’s release: KP CM

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has asserted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan will not strike a deal but will secure victory through the courts. He stated that both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have been imprisoned without any crime and reiterated that political stability in the country is impossible without their honorable release.
Speaking to the media, the chief minister said that the release of unjustly imprisoned PTI workers is ongoing, with the Insaf Lawyers Forum securing bail for over 2,000 detained workers so far. “Our legal team is working tirelessly, obtaining bail for workers on a daily basis. We have provided equal legal assistance to all party members without discrimination,” he added.
Gandapur highlighted that released workers belong to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Karachi, Balochistan, and Kashmir. He noted that over 700 workers were freed during Ramadan, while another 174 workers are being transferred to Attock and Jhelum jails.
He further stated that more than Rs 220 million has been deposited in bonds for the release of detained workers, and efforts are underway to secure more releases before Eid. Additionally, financial assistance and essential supplies have been provided to PTI workers imprisoned across the country.
