CM-KP summons provincial apex committee meeting on Kurram issue

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, has taken a significant step to address the ongoing tension in Kurram district by summoning an important meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee.
According to a statement issued from CM’s House Peshawar, the meeting, which will be chaired by the Chief Minister at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, is scheduled for tomorrow.
The primary agenda of the meeting is to review the current law and order situation in Kurram, assess the provincial government’s efforts to restore peace, and discuss other related matters.
The meeting aims to take crucial decisions regarding the provision of essential commodities and basic services to the people of Kurram, as well as to establish lasting peace in the region.
Additionally, the forum will deliberate on the progress made by the Grand Jirga, a peace initiative set up by the provincial government.
The committee will decide on the future course of action for ensuring enduring peace in the area, with input from all relevant stakeholders.
The meeting will be attended by top civil and military leadership, members of the provincial cabinet, and officials from the relevant divisional and district administrations, ensuring a comprehensive approach to tackling the issues in Kurram.
CM Gandapur calls on MWM chief Allama Raja Nasir
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Thursday held an important meeting with Allama Raja Nasir, the head of Masjid Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), where they discussed the current situation and challenges facing Kurram district.
According to an official statement, during the meeting, the Chief Minister provided a detailed update on the situation in the district and the government’s efforts to address the issues.
Chief Minister Gandapur elaborated on the recent ceasefire measures, the timely supply of medicines and food to the area, and the ongoing progress of the Grand Jirga.
He emphasized that while the government was focused on meeting the immediate needs of the people, it is also taking proactive steps towards a long-term solution to the district’s challenges.
He acknowledged that the issues in Kurram are complex and sensitive, but assured that he is in continuous contact with all relevant stakeholders to resolve them. The Chief Minister stressed that ensuring peace, stability, and the provision of basic services in the tribal areas is the government’s top priority.
In response, Allama Raja Nasir expressed hope that the government’s efforts would soon yield positive outcomes.
Chief Minister Gandapur reassured him that the government would utilize all available resources to find a lasting solution to the problems in Kurram, ensuring that the people of the district do not face further hardships.
