Al-Kabeer Club Secures First Position in Tent Pegging Competitions

The tent pegging competitions at the three-day cultural festival organized by the Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have concluded, with Al-Kabeer Awan Club securing first place in the single tent pegging category.
Provincial Minister for Sports Syed Fakhr Jahan distributed the prizes. This is the first time tent pegging competitions have been held in Peshawar, with participation from over 300 clubs from Punjab, Kashmir, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. For the first time, a female tent pegger from Faisalabad also took part in the single tent pegging events.
In the single competitions held at Shere Khan Stadium, Peshawar, Al-Kabeer Awan Club claimed first place, while Al-Awan Horsemanship Club took second, and Khari Sharif Peer Shah Ghazi Club secured third. Punjab Club came in fourth, Adabi Horse Riding Club took fifth, and Al-Amin Gandapur Ajmal Khan Pasloor Club achieved sixth place.
In the team captain event, Chaudhry Hasan Mahmood Randhawa from Rawal Enclave Club won first place, followed by Mir Ali Raza Parbana from Al-Naqeeb Club in second, and Malik Aurangzeb in third.
In the team event, Muhammadi Haidari Ghazi Ravi Ittehad Club took first place, Totent Pegging Club secured second, and Ghausia Qadriya Naushahi Tent Pegging Club took third. Al-Kabeer Awan Club placed fourth, Hazrat Sher Rabbani Tent Pegging Club fifth, Super Marwat Club sixth, and Sabir Club of Tank seventh.
It is notable that approximately 800 players from 127 teams from across the country participated in the tent pegging competitions, including athletes who compete in national and international tournaments.
