CJP opened more doors to external interference instead of stopping it: Justice Mansoor

Justice Mansoor Ali Shah while telling the reasons for not attending full court reference on occasion of retirement of Chief Justice (CJ) Qazi Faez Isa in a letter written to registrar Supreme Court (SC) has said CJ Qazi Faez Isa opened more doors to interference in judiciary instead of stopping it.
While asking for placing his letter before full court he said he had not attended full court reference of former chief justice Saqib Nisar for transgressing the constitutional limits and he will too not participate in the reference in respect of Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
He said in the letter CJ Qazi Faez Isa ignored the external pressure on the judiciary. The role of a chief justice is to protect the rights of people. Chief justice has to safeguard independence of judiciary.
Qazi Faez Isa did not show moral courage in defence of judiciary. The interference in judiciary was made in connivance with Qazi. There is no value of decisions of judiciary in the eyes of Qazi Faez Isa.
Qazi Faez Isa gave ground to those who weakened the judiciary.
