IHC rejects plea for issuing stay order in Toshakhana, 190 million pounds references

Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected the plea for issuing stay order in Toshakhana and 190 million pounds references.

The petitions seeking cancellation of jail trials of Toshakhana and 190 million pounds references came up for hearing before a division bench of IHC comprising Chief Justice (CJ) Aamir Farooq and justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri Monday.

Prosecutor General NAB presented the report on documents related to notification on jail trial and court’s order.

A copy of report was provided to Shoaib Shaheen counsel for PTI founder under court’s order.

Court rejected plea from Shoaib Shaheen for issuing stay order in NAB references.

Shoaib Shaheen had requested the court during the hearing of the case to give stay order for two days saying it makes no difference.

The CJ IHC Aamer Farooq remarked case is not going to end or complete. We see it on next hearing.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till today (Tuesday).
